Richard Webber

After twelve years in the financial services market, a course in freelance journalism resulted in Richard becoming a journalist specializing in showbusiness. He has contributed to a host of newspapers and magazines, including The Sunday Telegraph, The Mirror, TV Times, House Beautiful, Yours, etc. and is the author of several books about popular TV programmes. In addition to writing, he is a qualified teacher, carrying out supply work in local schools. He lives in Minehead, Somerset.

50 years of Hancocks Half Hour

Many people consider Tony Hancock to be the finest comic actor of them all. November 2004 sees the 50th anniversary of his best-loved work, Hancock's Half-Hour, which began as a radio series, penned by the writers Galton and Simpson.
